Not a coaching inn, but providing, in the yard, stabling and accommodation for the carriages of the wealthy visitors to the Dukeries who would have travelled to and from Worksop Station. The building to the left looks to have been a stable block with hayloft on the upper floor with typical high level loading door. This appears to be a late Victorian addition to the pre-existing hotel, and the whole is a remarkably unaltered suite of ancillary buildings.
