The largest independent school in Brighton whose campus caters for students aged 3-18 both day and boarding. The school was founded exclusively for boys in 1846 in Portland Place and opened on this purpose built site in 1849 which has steadily expanded ever since. Girls were first admitted to the sixth form in 1973 but were excluded from the rest until 1988.
