On the West George side of the Category A Listed building http://portal.historic-scotland.gov.uk/designation/LB32689 . The sculptures are by James Charles Young http://www.glasgowsculpture.com/pg_biography.php?sub=young_jc . The sailing ship perched on a globe of the Earth is the symbol of the Merchants Guild.
