Compared with Image, the repair and reconstruction of the roof have been completed and a commemorative plaque attached to the frontage, on the left hand side, between the first two ground and first floor windows. This bears the wording: The Ramsgate Society. Viscount Wellesley KG, KP, GCH, PC, FRS, 1769-1852. 1st Duke of Wellington and Prime Minister 1834. Stayed here during the Napoleonic Wars 1803-1815.
