Approaching the village from the south, the village sign is topped by a 'school' sign, though for now, there is no school in Glassford, the former building having been demolished in Autumn 2014. A new school is due to be erected on the site of the old school, which lies between the nearest trees to the left of the road in this picture. See also: Image
