The sign on the school gate forbids entry while children are playing, but for now, some faded painted road markings and the school gate are all that remain of Glassford Primary School. The former school buildings were demolished in Autumn 2014, and the school moved to temporary accommodation in nearby Strathaven. A new school building will be erected on this Alston Street site in the near future. Former school building in 2010: Image
