The more distant John Deere tractor is towing a Krone Swadro 1400 Plus 4-rotor centre-delivery rake. It collects the grass over a width up to 13.5 m and leaves it in a thin line ready for the Claas Quadrant 2100 square baler which is being towed by the John Deere tractor in the foreground. This picks up the grass and compresses it into a square bale, ties it and drops it behind. See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4666833
