The west end of Port Glasgow is in the foreground, with Greenock and Gourock beyond. Dunoon is visible to the left of Holy Loch. Loch Long, the Rosneath peninsula and Gare Loch (Gareloch) are in the top right corner. The Great Harbour at Greenock is prominent, with James Watt Dock, Victoria Harbour, East India Harbour and Greenock Ocean Terminal beyond. The reservoirs in the foreground are Harelaw and Knocknairshill at Port Glasgow.
