Looking west, towards Hammersmith, Richmond, Heathrow Airport, Ealing Broadway, and Uxbridge, from the west end of the westbound Piccadilly line platform at Barons Court. Here, the Piccadilly line uses the central pair of tracks, while the District line uses the outer pair; this situation continues as far as Acton Town, with Piccadilly line trains usually running non stop between Hammersmith and Acton Town, while the District line serves all intermediate stations. Note the mirrors and CCTV monitors on the left that enable train operators to see the doors along the entire length of a train.
