As well as the direction to Anchor Cottage Canal Shop at the next lock, there are advertisements here for Jules Fuels, who supply solid fuels from narrowboats, and Whilton Marina Chandlery, as well as Lord Kitchener asking for volunteers to join working parties for the Whilton and Buckby Locks Association.
