Looking east, toward the village centre. The little red-brick terrace caught my eye. There's something a bit formidable about those entrances, and it would be interesting to know the building's original purpose. Police accommodation, perhaps? The road was the main road from Braintree to Colchester until the by-pass was constructed in the last century.
