The bench is dedicated to the memory of Daphne Markland 1924-2010, whose obituary was originally printed in the Kent Online on 2 December 2010. It mentions her sons and husband Edric, who was a medical practitioner in New Romney http://www.kmannouncements.co.uk/group/view/265824/daphne-markland Edric and she lived at Image I was well acquainted with both of them.
