According to its entry in British Listed Buildings (see http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-120544-motts-green-cottage-little-hallingbury-e#.VewkehFViko ) it was built in C16. However, there is a metal sign attached to the front which says it was built in 1483.
