Somehow, Network SouthEast signage has survived on platforms 9 and (here) 10 at Moorgate station, more than 20 years after NSE was consigned to history by the privatisation process. Network SouthEast was the business sector of British Rail in charge of most services in the south east of England from 1986 until 1994, when it was split into "shadow franchises" in advance of franchising of routes to private companies. Somehow, in the intervening 21 years, no operator of trains to this part of Moorgate (WAGN Railway, First Capital Connect, and now Great Northern) has replaced the signage with some of their own design.
