It is possible to trace them using the CWGC search facility For example Sedman Richardson is one of 61 Richardsons listed on that site with the initial "S" but under a Christian name of Sidman. He was a Private in the 10th Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment and was killed at Arras on 16th June 1917.
