Drawn towards the new-looking gate I was surprised to see a new telecoms mast lurking in the woods beyond. It was not there on a previous visit in 2011. Fortunately, the trees do a good job of hiding it - I could not see it ascending from the south and it doesn't show up in distant views of the hill. Let's hope they don't fell the trees any time soon.
