Given his talent, it's quite a revelation that this is the design John Dobson chose for his own house, in 1823, and one can only conclude that he concentrated his efforts on the inside. Grade II* listed. Now subsumed into a nightclub, Liquid, for a predecessor of which, presumably the Oxford, the florid adjoining entrance must have been built between the wars.
