Tocketts Mill near Guisborough is one of the best working water driven corn mills in England. A mill on the site was first mentioned in the Domesday Book under the name Tosceton. The present mill last operated commercially in 1960 and then laid derelict as a chicken coop until 1974 when two teachers from South Park School in Middlesbrough, with help from their sixth form students, took it on themselves to restore it. The mill now operates about twelve days per year manned by enthusiasts including the two teachers, now retired. From my blog: https://fhithich.wordpress.com/2015/08/31/tocketts-mill/
