Known as Malling Priory and built around 1730. Despite the name the house has no religious connections though does commemorate the medieval lords of the manor, the Canons of East Malling College. The church connection with the village disappeared at the dissolution. One of the early residents was John Bent who owned neighbouring Image and whose brewery was originally behind this house and extended to the inn.
