Big and rather French with its rustication, pilaster strips, oeuil-de-boeuf windows and mansard roofs. Dated 1902. Oddly missed by Pevsner. Grade II listed. behind the granite ground floor was a pub, Akenside Traders. For the origin of the name: Image
