Elmfield Mill was a woollen mill. In the days of steam it was powered by a 250hp tandem compound engine by Pollitt and Wigzell, 1890 (source: http://oneguyfrombarlick.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=7259 ) The company presently occupying the building runs a business "supplying and distributing motor parts".
