The Kaleyards car park off Frodsham Street is a disabled car park only before 6pm. There are controversial plans to relocate Chester Market here, however Chester Archaeological Society has opposed the plan as: *"Building on the Kaleyards car park site would damage important Roman archaeological remains and disrupt a centuries-old pattern of land use. It would adversely affect the view of the City Walls and the City Walls (cf the ill-fated Mercia Square development of the late 1960s’)" *Source: Chester Archaeological Society
