Former inlet/outlet on the River Wyre

I took this photo at low tide from the Wyre Way, on the west bank of the River Wyre. The river at this point, only a few miles from its mouth at Fleetwood, is tidal and was almost totally mud. This channel was formerly used to supply water for a disused reservoir and pumping station situated a few metres away on the other side of the path.
