A church on this site is mentioned in the Domesday Book. However the earliest part of this structure is the C13 chancel arch. Most of the rest of the church is C14. The chancel was rebuilt in 1863 and the tower an spire were restored in 1889. The nave roof was rebuilt in 1907.
