Albion Congregational (now United Reformed) Church was built 1890-95. It is Grade II* listed http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-212686-albion-congregational-church-ashton-unde On completion the Church was said to be the most beautiful Congregational Church building in England, mainly of Gothic design with glorious stained glass designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones and installed by William.
