The Market Cross, Wymondham

Wymondham's first market cross was a shaft on steps type. By the late 16th century therewas a Market Hall which was burnt down in 1615. The present cross was built roughly on the same site in 1617-1618 at a cost of just over £25. The Tourist Information Centre is now housed on the first floor.
