For North Downs Way walkers this is a significant point. Having hiked 98 miles from Farnham, the trail splits at this point although both branches terminate in Dover. Straight on Malthouse Lane takes the participant via Folkestone - 25 miles Turn left up the track, and it is 30 miles via Canterbury.
