The 750 seat cinema opened on 23rd September 1916 for the up to 30000 residents of Gretna and Springfield. The original roof ventilators are particularly industrial. Latest use was as a Bingo Hall. Regeneration plans consider replacement of part or all of the building with retail or office space suggested.
