The western aspect of the church and churchyard. Saint Mael and Saint Sulien's Church in Corwen dates from the twelfth century although the tower was built later possibly in the 14th century. In the 18th century, money was raised to carry out extensive alterations to make the church lighter, more comfortable and less gloomy. The church is dedicated to St Mael and St Sulien, two Celtic saints of the sixth century, though it has been suggested that an earlier foundation stood on the hill above. * Source: Wikipedia & Saint Mael and Saint Sulien's Church.
