This week Lincolnshire commemorated the Battle of Britain with 12 military and privately owned Spitfires in the skies at once. Spitfires from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight were joined by private Spitfire owners in memory of the 75th Anniversary of Unternehmen Adlerangriff, the German operation to destroy the Royal Air Force in World War II. See Image However, this is not a Spitfire in the skies above former R.A.F. Strubby, though it may look like it. It is an ultralight aircraft. Ironically these are made in Germany! See also Image
