The works needed constant repairs due to the highly corrosive nature of salt and this building houses a forge and retains some external line shafting and a guillotine. Inside the building is a dismantled horizontal single cylinder engine. In the 1980s this was re-erected in this area but had originally been used in a different area of the site. See -Image
