This, for most of its length, is a public restricted byway, but the map seems to suggest it is only a bridleway for the short length from High Wych Road to a parish boundary a little way beyond this ford. This short length, apart from the ford, is in the better condition. The sign on High Wych Road actually calls it a restricted byway from the start.
