The Ordnance Survey is vacating its current HQ building at Maybush in about 2 years and is re-locating to a nearby business park. This purpose-built building was first occupied by the OS in the late-1960s and provided centralised accommodation for previously dispersed offices at Chessington, Hinchley Wood (Esher), London Road (Southampton) and Crabwood (Southampton). With the advent of new production methods, the building is now larger than required and the current site is to be re-developed.
