One would have thought that the verge of a busy street-lit road would be the last place to find Glow Worms but they are here in good numbers. In the darkness of Image country park I saw not so much as a glimmer. It is possible that if the males are attracted to the artificial light then those females who don't shy away from streetlights might be more likely to come across a passing male.
