The main road shown here is called Roman Road. For the preserved Roman bath-house, which is just a few metres to the left (north), see Image and related pictures. The road itself preserves the line of a related Roman antiquity, the Military Way, which ran through Bearsden Fort and its eastern annexe (the bath-house was within that annexe).
