In 2014/15 Hattersley Road West was diverted in order to pass closer to the railway station. The car park was also upgraded. The new benches look nice but I don't know who would probably use them as they are too far away from either the trains or the bus stop. Update: I've since been informed by The Friends of Hattersley Station https://www.friendsofhattersleystation.com/index.html that they are in fact used a lot. The fact that they are not near the bus stop is quite irrelevant as the gardens were created as an oasis of calm for residents and commuters alike. These gardens are the only gardens of note on the very large estate and were created for the community by community volunteers.
