Bexley College was opened as a Technical Institute in 1907 and was known as Erith Technical Institute. That Institute grew and developed into a College and just before the Second World War it was recognised by the University of London for an external Degree course in Engineering. The new campus on this site opened in 2014. http://www.bexley.ac.uk/new-erith-campus/
