At the junction with Guildhall Road, No.79 Lowgate, built 1881 (see moulded roundel with a coat of arms and the date 1881) as wine merchants' offices and warehouse, for B B Mason. Restored and converted circa 1985 for the City Council's Record Office. Following the latter's removal to the Hull History Centre in 2009, the building has become disused.
