View northward, towards Filton Junction, then the west via the Severn Tunnel, north via Yate and Gloucester, and east and London via Swindon. The class J goods is coming into Bristol with one of the ubiquitous ex-GWR Collett class '5700' 0-6-0PTs, no. 8746 (built 7/31, withdrawn 12/62).
