Built in the first decade of the 20th century as the village expanded due to the influx of commuters. Hillside is the house on the right with the partially visible historical advertising on the side. All I could make out is Liverpool and London and Globe, which was an insurance company formed from a number of mergers in 1864 and acquired by the Royal Insurance Group in 1919 which these days is part of the Royal and Sun Alliance Group. With the growth of the village amongst commuters during the early part of the 20th century I'm guessing this was a specific piece of advertising aimed at the more wealthy inhabitants who were moving here.
