The lines to the left emerge from Stratford International DLR station; those on the right emerge from a shallow tunnel and are Network Rail lines linking the North London Line with the Great Eastern line up the Lea Valley - presumably used primarily by freight, and in former times by trains to/from the large Temple Mills depot (now used by Eurostar).
