At the junction with Dog and Duck Lane, Tymperon House, No.62 Walkergate. It was built circa 1731 as Tymperon's Hospital, endowed by William Tymperon, an apothecary, as an almshouse for six elderly women and a matron, each of whom had a self-contained room. Grade II Listed Building http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-167515-tymperon-house-beverley-#.VZveDJXbKUk. The low forecourt wall in brick and stone may be similarly dated.
