On June the 1st 2007 the annual Whit Friday Brass Band Contest took place in Delph http://www.whitfriday.brassbands.saddleworth.org/ This was one of the locations for the making of the 1996 film Brassed Off starring Ewan McGregor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brassed_Off Image Image Image Image
