Now part of the Aberystwyth University Arts Centre, this was created as the Great Hall (Neuadd Fawr) of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and completed in 1970. For me as a student at the time, its main function was as the luxurious new venue of the Film Society, previously confined to the primitive Celtic Cinema in the town.
