Originally built as council Offices when Westgate-on-Sea came under the Isle of Thanet RDC, this use came to an end in 1935 when it was absorbed into Margate. Users of the building include Vision Express, the Carlton Cinema, and a United Service Club. In 2015 Westgate was created a civil parish, and the parish council now holds its meetings in this building.
