The train has left Smithy Bridge Station bound for Littleborough and beyond; the signal has been reset to danger; the barriers on the level crossing are being raised; and pedestrians are making their way across the tracks. Compare with the same scene in 2010: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1873716 In addition to the change in the trackside signal and the station signage the level crossing has been automated so the signal box has gone, the barriers renewed and obstruction detecting radar equipment had been installed.
