Midhurst is well-known for its timber-framed buildings, of 17th century date and earlier - but this Georgian building caught my eye. As I have said elsewhere http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4534238 it strikes me as rather Venetian in flavour. The wide arch over the window of Jackson-Stops' premises - with seven keystones - would seem to represent the original state of the building, and it seems a shame that the window at the far end of the building has been altered.
