Hercules Linton, designer of the famous tea clipper, The Cutty Sark was born in Inverbervie. This memorial to Hercules Linton is a full-scale replica of the Cutty Sark's figurehead and depicts the witch in Robert Burns' poem, Tam o'Shanter, clutching the tail of Tam's grey mare.
