The estate road leaves the car park at Braemore Junction. Access along it has been contentious for some time though the photographer remembers walking it en route for Beinn Enaiglair when the cottage was a virtual ruin. Access currently seems not actually to be 'forbidden' - probably Scottish law wouldn't permit that, but mountain walkers are" Requested to use the stile at the east end of the public car park to gain access to the hill".
