A nostalgic shot, but why? Over 50 years ago I cycled along this road on a trip from Newcastle and we stopped about here. We could hear machinery and were able to see a large water filled hole, probably being filled in after open cast coal working. How the vegetation has grown. There's a sign a little further down the road that suggests Bellway and Persimmin Homes are hoping to build here
